Altar Bar is proud to support the return of Señor Tabby alongside a special lineup featuring Eliza Bird and Samuel Marshell (also releasing his EP!). Altar Bar Upstairs, Always free entry, Always cheap booze.

Samuel Marshall returns with his new single Beautiful Awakening, seven years after the release of his debut album  In contrast to the eclectic sounds of his earlier work, this track reveals a more minimalistic and introspective side to Marshall’s musical evolution. For both Beautiful Awakening and the EP it is drawn from, Marshall embraced simplicity by limiting himself to just one electric guitar, an amplifier and his voice. The result is an atmospheric and emotive preview of his forthcoming EP set for release in late 2025.

Eliza Bird is for lovers of sad girl indie pop, creating warm, heartfelt anthems, drawing on influences from Angie McMahon and Phoebe Bridgers. Nestled in Nipaluna/Hobart, Eliza breaksdown walls, exposing her most vulnerable and honest feelings. Her latest single Ignore explores tumultuous relationships and the red flags we look past, thinking things might get better.

Señor Tabby are an alternative grunge band from Hobart, formed from the ashes of local cult favourites Orin. They first emerged into the scene in 2018 with the release of their debut single Magic Man, followed by a self-titled EP that garnered national radioplay and saw the band gig widely across Tasmania. In the following years, they wrote extensively, expanding and honing their sound. With their claws sharp and their fur preened, they have emerged from their semi-hiatus and have just wrapped the recording of their debut album. Due for release in 2026, and recorded at Frying Pan Studios, their new sound blends alternative and pop-rock influences with jam-band improvisation, funk rhythms and post-hardcore edge.
