FREQS & GEEKS: K.Verell + BSOD & TROTH

Wed 27 Aug

Over 18 7PM

FREQS & GEEKS showcases electronic artists from Lutruwita/Tasmania—emerging, established, and everything between.
A space for the unclassifiable. Hypnotic, chaotic, euphoric, and raw. Textures that swallow you whole.

K. Verell (nipaluna/lutruwita) maps dissonance, signal, and ritual interference. A storyteller in sound, image, and object, they move across thresholds: cultural, spatial, political—gathering threads of futures not yet lived.

BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) is an evolving companion species—a constellation of synths, code, sensors, and camera eyes. BSOD is not metaphor but collaborator: the glitch-body, the algorithmic haunt, the interface through which K.Verell touches forms otherwise out of reach.

Troth are a nipaluna duo comprising Amelia Besseny and Cooper Bowman. Their music blurs lines between minimal synth-pop, immersive ambient soundscapes and field recording based sound art. Key themes across their work are interpreting time spent in natural environments, attempting to engender beauty via tapping into elements of ritual and finding new modes to express dialogue with each other.
