Severed

Severed have been at the forefront of the Hobart hardcore scene since dropping their demo in early 2024. Pushing to build up the loyal community they exist in, Hobart is returning to Australian Tour flyers as a must hit location.

Working with Elliott Gallart at the Chameleon Studios in Sydney, their new 3 track EP Seizure Dreams (B.I.G Records) shows a stronger, more refined sound and direction. Blending crushing mosh parts, metallic riffs and dark atmosphere they have honed in on a style of heavy hardcore that stands out amongst the herd.

With Seizure Dreams, Severed proves not only that they’re just getting started, but are in it for the long haul.

In Lieu
With nasty bass and gnawing guitar, a highschooler drumming savant, cinematic trumpet and 
cerebral lyrics shot through vocals rattling from the soul, In Lieu carves drawn-out and cutting 
dynamics into each and every song, with plenty post-rock and screamo influence to bait your 
nostalgia. They describe it as post-emo plus, but In Lieu is truly transgender emo.
